Adult Education and Life Skills Training
We understand that the need for life skills education is endless. Students must understand that their decisions will affect them, their family, their job, their co-workers, their friends and their community. Our STI Training Solutions group will focus on life skills training which will include critical thinking, problem-solving, employability skills, social skills, and other “soft” skills that individuals need in order to be successful. Soft skills aren't "fluff," they are life skills many take for granted, yet are critical when an individual doesn't have them. Our life skills coursework will be tailored to the needs of our students. We'll utilize coursework created for vocational institutions including: "Life Skills for Vocational Success" by Workshop, Inc and "Tackling the Tough Skills" by the University of Missouri extension.
Adult Education Program
STI Training Solutions Adult Education Program will provide instruction in the basic skills of reading, writing, and mathematics to adult learners in order to prepare them for transitioning into the labor market or vocational training. Other areas of instruction will include: General Educational Development (GED) test preparation and workplace diversity training.
